Love Will Comfort

          You can never be fully prepared for having a baby. Everyone will have an opinion on how you should raise your child, but I feel like you have to figure out their personality. That will have a huge influence on their direction in life. I have 2 kids and they couldn't be any more different, but yet the same. They are both super smart, love music and have similar interests in tv. But one is very innocent and caring and loving, the other is oblivious and fairly self centered. Not that he has no compassion he is just obvious to what is going on around him.

         My daughter was a very quiet independent child. We would have to check on her because she would be so quiet for so long. That independence has carried with her through her whole young life. She has been that person that when she wants accomplish something she does. Navigating that as a father is challenging but yet very rewarding. Because she doesn't just go with the flow her entire school experience has been let's say, less than easy. Kids are very mean! But she never wavered from her goal. She is now deciding on which full ride college she will attend. So far she has 3 choices and we are only half way through her senior year of high school. 

        As a father it is hard to see her upset but with that being said, she has to learn how to deal with tough situations. I will always offer my love and comfort to her, and will give her advice. But if she is going to make it as an adult, she has to deal with these situations.
